Production rental specialist Entec is proud to announce the appointment of two new members of staff within its sound and lighting departments.
Officially joining Entec on January 2nd, Lighting Technician Andrew Banks entered the world of live production through his interests in theatre lighting for amateur dramatics whilst at school. His professional career got underway when he worked as a technician for an event company within the corporate sector in the south-west.
Turning freelance, Andrew moved back to London and was hired by a variety of companies until he recently spotted a vacancy at Entec. He says: “I’d heard so many positive things about Entec that it was an easy decision to make. I will be based in the lighting warehouse but will eventually be assisting in live situations as part of the Entec crew.”
Also new to Entec is Tom Pryce who came onboard as Audio Warehouse Manager on October 1st. Through a recommendation, Tom began his career journey seven years ago as a member of Clair UK’s staff in Luton before touring as a freelance backline technician – specialising in guitars and keyboards – with some of the world’s biggest live acts.
Says Tom: “I was very keen to reacquaint myself with the live sound side of production, which is a big passion of mine, and to do that amongst a great team of people at Entec is such a bonus.”
Noreen O’Riordan, Entec’s MD, comments: “Welcoming Andrew and Tom to our team will help towards an extremely positive start to 2020. We very much look forward to working with both of them.”
